Our
Heritage

Our story began in 1877, when Hossein Rahmani founded a dried fruits and nuts business in Northern Persia, a region celebrated for its agricultural abundance. More than a century later, his grandson, Abouzar, grew up on the family’s farms and in its factories, which had by the mid-1990s become the largest agro-food enterprise in the region. Immersed in this world from an early age, he developed a deep expertise in ingredient origins, quality, and processing methods.

In 2004, while studying in Brussels, Belgium, Abouzar recognized a gap in the market: there were no premium-quality nut and dried fruit snacks available in convenient formats or everyday locations. Out of this vision, Mani — derived from the family name Rahmani — was born, carrying forward a heritage of craftsmanship into a modern expression of pure, indulgent snacking.

Our
Story

The Mani brand first launched successfully in the Middle East in 2009. After partially exiting the business in 2012, Abouzar introduced Mani to Europe, bringing 100% natural, on-the-go nut, dried fruit, and seed mixes to the Benelux market in 2015. Along the way, he was joined by his niece Funda and his wife Julia, turning Mani into a true family-driven venture. In 2019, production moved to Southern Switzerland, marking a new chapter of growth. Today, Mani snacks can be found in over 5,000 points of sale across six European countries, placed at the checkouts of more than 30 leading retail groups. And this is only the beginning…
